Earlier, Morini had also manufactured motorcycles together with Mario Mazzetti under the name MM. Morini came under Cagiva control in 1987, then in 1996 came under Texas Pacific Group, which had also bought Ducati, and in April 1999, the rights to the name were purchased by Morini Franco Motori spa, a company founded by Morini's nephew in 1954

| Moto Morini Corsaro http://www.visordown.com Test Report WHEN TWO TESTED an early prototype of the Moto Morini Corsaro a few issues ago it impressed, but was by no means perfect. Despite beautiful styling, the old Italian bugbear of imprecise fuel injection reared its ugly head, and the exhaust was positioned so the collector box scraped the ground without much effort. Little problems that Morini assured us would be ironed out on the final production bike.

| Morini Riders Club http://www.morini-riders-club.com Moto Morini was started in 1937 by Alfonso Morini and based in his home town of Bologna in northern Italy. Initially building three wheeled trucks, after World War 2 they designed and built small capacity 2-stroke motorcycles.
Alfonso was very keen on racing and developed a range of many successful racing machines, culminating in the 250GP which was to become the worlds fastest ever quarter litre four-stroke single, capable of almost 140mph and which very nearly won the World Championship.
