The carbon frame for the Tornado was born through the collaboration between Andrea Pretzler, GERG's composite expert and Adrian Morton BENELLI's designer.
The collaboration united the resources and experience of GERG who are renowned for there long term collaboration with high-profile companies such as BMW, Audi, Porsche, and Toyota with the innovative Benelli motorcycle company.

Benelli is one of the oldest motorcycle manufacturers in the world. It is also the oldest Italian motorcycle manufacturer in business. Established in 1911, despite the difficulties encountered, including wars or economic crises, it has practically never stopped producing motorcycles and scooters.

Benelli was established in Pesaro, Italy, in 1911. Teresa Benelli, a widow, sank all of the family capital into the business in the hope that it would offer stable work for her six sons: Giuseppe, Giovanni, Francesco, Filippo, Domenico and Antonio ("Tonino").
In the beginning, it was just the Benelli Garage, which repaired cars and motorcycles, but was already able to produce all of the spare parts needed for repairs.
In 1920 the company built its first complete engine in-house, a single-cylinder two-stroke 75 cc model, immediately adapted to a bicycle frame. A year later in 1921, Benelli built its first motorcycle with its OWN engine which had by then become a 98 cc model.

Benelli is one of the oldest motorcycle manufacturers in the world. Benelli racing motorcycles were renowned in the 20s & 30s winning a number of Italian and World Championship titles. The factory, destroyed in WWII, was completely rebuilt, the company restructured, and again in the 50s and 60s returned to its championship position in world racing. By the 60s it was producing 300 motorcycles per day and was a leading innovator in motorcycle design.

Exclusivity, design, determined character. This is the Benelli formula behind the Tornado Novecento Tre. The Tornado's aggressive line is dynamic and light, partly because without a radiator the front is noticeably tapered. The Tornado is the only production bike with the radiator under the seat, drawing fresh air in through two dynamic ducts with two vertical inlets under the indicators. This solution not only stops heat from building up at the centre of the vehicle, but also reduces the size of the front of the bike, making it more aerodynamic.
