| The Saint's 1977 BMW R100RS Motorcycle http://www.saint.org The Saint's motorcycle had a license plate of "ST 2" which complements the Jaguar XJ-S' "ST 1". Ian Ogilvy, who played Simon Templar in The Return of The Saint, was responsible for this addition to The Saint's collection of vehicles. Ogilvy owned his first motorcycle at the age of sixteen, and has been a avid enthusiast ever since. Ogilvy was quoted in 1978 as saying, "It was my idea that Simon Templar should have a motorcycle as well as a car. After all, there are times when it can be more useful for him than a car. And with with all the appeals for people to cut down on petrol consumption, it's now completely acceptable."

| The S 1000 RR Motorcycle Debuts http://forums.bimmerforums.com Director of BMW’s motorcycle or “Motorrad” division, Hendrik von Kuenheim, debuted the company’s newest bike in a whole new class of motorcycle for the German company.
The 2009 S 1000 RR will be BMW’s first Supersport bike and helps to mark the company’s entry into the Superbike World Championship. Essentially a racing bike for the road, the S 1000 RR is powered by a 1.0-liter inline-four of as yet unspecified output. The company tells us that the powerplant will meet the power, performance, weight, and package requirements for a superbike in “typical BMW style,” which we take to mean that it’s quite fast.
BMW plans on building 1,000 examples of the bike in the first production run, which will be available for purchase by next year. Enjoy a browse through our S 1000 RR gallery below, or click through the jump to read von Kuenheim’s speech officially announcing the new sports bike.

| BMW F 650 GS and F 650 GS Dakar http://www.bmw-dakar.co.za The BMW 650 GS range is a robust off-road touring bike. It is light and easy to handle.
It comes in the normal BMW F 650 GS and also the BMW F 650 GS Dakar.
The Dakar range is more suitable for serious off-road work. The Dakar features a 21 inch front wheel as opposed to the 19 inch front wheel of the normal GS. It also has long travel suspension and taller tinted windscreen that can be easily removed for off-road tracks. But the screen is rather useless due to the angle it was fitted. If you buy one of these bikes you will most probably have to fit an aftermarket screen. I cannot believe that a company who has been building touring bikes for so long can fit such a crappy screen.
