In 1981 António Pinto, only 22 years old, opened a motorcycle workshop. Later, in 1985, AJP was founded. AJP created its first motorcycle in 1987: the Ariana 125, based on the Casal k 276 and named after Antonio Pinto's daughter born in that same year. Only 25 units we22re made. 5 In 1995 a prototype called AJP Galp 50 was developed. First, Antonio Pinto tried to sell this project to Casal, without success

The AJP PR4 Enduro motorcycle is made in Portugal, using engines from Taiwan and a sturdy, locally built chassis, featuring durable Paioli suspension and handy features like a see-thru gas tank, so you can see how you're doing on fuel when in the wilds. The motorcycles look and feel tough enough to last well, but are expensive to buy and the engines are simply too old tech and lack lowdown urge.

We take small groups or individuals for basic tuition and off road riding either on Salisbury plain or the Ridgeway using AJP Enduro bikes which all have electric start and are great for novice riders or experienced off-roaders. The days riding is designed to provide an interesting and challenging day, whatever your ability.
